Tapcheck co-founder and COO, Kayling Gaver has been named the winner of a Bronze Stevie® Award in the Female Entrepreneur of the Year category for Business Services in the 18th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business.
The Stevie Awards for Women in Business honor women executives, entrepreneurs, employees, and the companies they run – worldwide. More than 1,500 entries were submitted this year for consideration in more than 100 categories.
Maggie Gallagher Miller, president of the Stevie Awards, said, “We thought the remarkable stories of achievement we saw in last year’s awards couldn’t be topped, but we were wrong. Women-owned and -run organizations have contributed significantly to the increase in innovation and entrepreneurial activity we’ve seen globally since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Gaver stands out for leveraging her corporate HR and payroll development expertise to start Tapcheck to help relieve the financial stress impacting employees living paycheck-to-paycheck. Judges shared how impressed they were with Tapcheck’s innovative and employee-centered approach to supporting low to moderate income workers, as well as Gaver’s commitment to enacting positive change for the American workforce. They also commented that Gaver’s approach is a direct reflection on the entrepreneurial spirit in women today.
“I am incredibly honored to receive this award. This is thanks to the collective effort our team at Tapcheck puts forward every day to realize our mission to make financial wellness achievable for workers living paycheck-to-paycheck,” said Gaver. “This achievement motivates me to continue pushing the boundaries and finding innovative ways to help hardworking Americans take control of their financial wellness and thrive.”
